Sprinkle style and elegance
on to your every day life
Chasing Dresses, Chasing Dreams.

When I was three years old, I would chase my older sister around the house while she tried on my mother’s wedding dress. I desperately wanted a turn myself. The dress was a long, dramatic creation from the 80s with puffed sleeves and pearl beading, a true hidden treasure that lived in the back of the closet. Once I managed to slip into it, I would disappear inside the fabric, running through the house with the train floating behind me like a little ghost on the run. My mother’s love for dresses and beautifully put together outfits, combined with my grandmother’s impeccable taste and her gifts from Denmark, sparked my passion for fashion before I could properly walk.
As a young girl in the 90s, I was obsessed with the dancers and singers I watched on VHS tapes on my tiny TV in the children’s room. Their sparkling dresses and outfits captivated me even more than the music or the choreography. Dressing up felt like stepping into a new character, like becoming someone else for a moment. From that point on, my love for clothes and fashion only continued to grow.
I started watching fashion design movies, videos, and competitions, and I filled endless pages of my early Top Model sketchbooks with designs, back when the figures had enormous heads if you know, you know. Through design classes and my first encounters with a sewing machine at school, I quickly realized that sewing itself was not my strength. Combining pieces, sketching ideas, and designing concepts was where I truly came alive and felt the spark.
I decided to focus on what I was good at. I began posting carefully curated photos of myself wearing outfits I had styled and merged together. The response surprised me. Compliments and curiosity followed, and that was when it clicked. Fashion does not have to be expensive to look luxurious, to feel special, or to tell a story. Mixing timeless pieces with a trendy eye catcher is often enough to elevate an entire look and transform your wardrobe and course of the day.
For me, fashion is rooted not only in childhood memories but in self expression. Just like painting, dancing, singing, or playing an instrument, fashion is a language. It shows your true colors and offers a glimpse of who you are, even if only for a fleeting moment while passing a stranger on the street or making an unforgettable entrance.
Fashion goes beyond money, body type, or ethnicity. It is inspiration and motivation at the same time. By turning second hand shops and flea markets into playgrounds and pairing those finds with luxurious elements and trend pieces, elegance becomes accessible. Being bold, ignoring outside noise, and treating yourself as a living canvas is part of the joy. Fashion is a part of you, so be unapologetic about it.
This blog is a gift to myself and a space I would like to share with like-minded people. A space to express, to share, and to exchange knowledge, experiences, and upcoming trends that can move from the catwalk and couture shows straight into real life.
